I'll always be with you

Chapter 3

Before we continue, there are some things you need to know...

Alex washed up on Dolce Island after she fell into the ocean. Over there, she met a man named Booker, who builds ships for the people in Oblivia.

Booker and Alex went to Renbow Island, the nearest inhabited island. That also is the place where the Pinchers were hiding. Alex stopped them, and she left to see Area Ranger Rand. She met his daughter, Nema, instead after recovering a sunken UFO, that's how the people on Renbow Island call the vehicles the Pinchers are flying on.

Nema told Alex Rand was at the Wireless Tower, close to Mt Latolato, stopping the Pinchers. Of course they went there as fast as they could. At the Wireless Tower Alex met Rand's wife, Leanne, an archaeologist, and his friend, Burkhart.

She and Rand managed to get to the top of the Wireless Tower, but there was another leader besides the leader that shot Alex into the ocean. A girl, only she had everything blue: blue clothes, blue scooter vehicle, named a Z.Z. Flyer, and blue eyes... She was controlling the legendary Pokemon Raikou. It was furious.

A real tough battle, but thanks to a few ground-type Pokemon, she captured it successfully.  She saw a mysterious figure in the bright light that appeared after she captured Raikou.

Meanwhile, Leanne, Nema and Burkhart saw Pinchers fleeing Alex defeated. Burkhart managed to catch the two Pinchers slowest to escape. After a clever list, they escaped.

Alex and Rand pursued them all the way to the Big Booker Bridge. But then they saw the red leader... He destroyed the Bridge so the Rangers couldn't pass. After all of that, they went back to Rand's house to see what that figure was.

Leanne discovered that you can call Raikou with that emblem to get his help and ride on it. In the past, the Hero could call Raikou and get it's help in hard times. If Alex had seen the Sign, could that mean she was the new Hero of Oblivia...?

To try it out, Alex drew the Sign using a program Nema invented. To their surprise, Raikou appeared. It was able to jump great distances. Next, they thought of the holes in the Big Booker Bridge: Raikou could jump over them!

Alex rushed over to the Big Booker Bridge to get to Mitonga Island, the next island. She found Murph over there, because he was sent to get a book titled: "Legends of the Oblivia Region". It was written by a man named Amun. Of course Alex would help to find that book.

They started to ask all people in Tilt Village, the only village on Mitonga Island, and an old man told them that Amun's mansion still was there. It had lot's of books in it, was there a chance "Legends of the Oblivia Region" could be there?

Alex and Murph left for Amun's old mansion. They looked and found some kind of basement. That's were the Pinchers and the blue leader where. Her name was Blue Eyes. The Pincher Grunts attacked with a Chikorita and Bayleef. Pretty easy captures, but it got difficult when Blue Eyes attacked with her Meganium.

After a long battle, Alex captured it. Murph managed to capture Blue Eyes, and they found the book they where looking for. They took Blue Eyes and left. At Tilt Village in the Union, the boat Murph came on, Murph himself started hearing on Blue Eyes, and then Red Eyes appeared. He wanted to trade Blue Eyes for Ben... They didn't have any other choice than to say yes.

And that's where we catch up...

"Are you that anxious to see your boyfriend again?" Blue Eyes huffed, because Alex and Spirit where running to Daybreak ruins, where the trade was. Alex stopped running and started walking.

"First, he's not my boyfriend." She sighed, "And second, I haven't seen him for weeks, I'm worried sick about Ben." She almost whispered the last part. "Ah..." Blue Eyes said, while looking up to the cloudless sky. "Young love... Don't fall for him, kid. He'll just leave you all alone eventually."

Alex was surprised. "What do you mean?" "He left me all alone... I swear, it'll happen to you to." Blue Eyes muttered. They weren't walking anymore. "Is... Is this about Red Eyes and you?" Alex asked quietly, "Because it sounds like you really liked him."

Blue Eyes turned her back to Alex and walked a few steps away from her. "Not liked, I still like him..." she whispered. Alex hesitated, but then walked over to Blue Eyes and laid her hand on her shoulder. "Listen, I'll help you getting Red Eyes back, but then I need your cooperation."

Blue Eyes turned back to Alex, having tears streaming out her eyes. "Really?" she asked, "Really." Alex replied. "But... what if he says-" "He won't say 'no', I'm positive." Alex interrupted her. Blue Eyes may be an enemy, but this was sad: A broken pair...

"You really belong to each other." "And what about you and Ben...?" Alex opened her mouth to say something, but closed it again. "Well?" Blue Eyes urged. "We..." Alex started. "Why do you ask?" Blue Eyes smiled. "Come on! You'd be the perfect pair!"

"I thought we were talking about solving your problem with Red Eyes?" Alex said. It wasn't a subject she liked to talk about. "Well... to do that, we need to get to Daybreak ruins." Blue Eyes hesitated, and then nodded. Actually, she wanted to know what was going on. Spirit was nibbling Alex's socks to get her attention.

"We're going, Spirit." Alex said while looking down to her Chikorita. It smiled back. It ran off ahead. Disappearing at their sight, Blue Eyes couldn't restrain herself and asked: "Did something happen between you?" Alex didn't answer.

"Hey...?"

"I don't want to talk about it, ok?" Alex said. "Oh... so something did happen?" "Ok?!" Alex said fiercely while she turned her face away from Blue Eyes. She felt a giant lump in her throat, the first signs of tears. "S-sorry... I didn't mean..."

"Just forget it..." Alex mumbled quietly. She wiped a little tear in the corner of her eye away. The truth was she really liked Ben, but at the prom... Alex bit her lip. Blue Eyes wanted to lay her hand on her shoulder, but decided not to.

"Come, or we'll never get to Daybreak Ruins." Alex turned around and walked a little ahead of Blue Eyes. She wanted a little moment for herself. Just to be alone. 'Ben... Please be fine...' She watched Spirit climb in small tree. She thought she heard faint cries of Pokemon.

Two Pincher Grunts ran towards Alex. "What if we'll just take our leader back?!" One yelled enthusiastically. "We'll use our Pokemon! Ranger, prepare!" "Wha-" Alex managed to bring out before an Ambipom and Quilava attacked her. "Capture on!" The familiar blue loops appeared, and Alex felt at ease when she saw the Pokemon coming more and more out of their hypnosis.

She was so busy with the Capture that she didn't even notice Blue Eyes stood beside her. After a small fire attack the Quilava got captured and escaped, followed by the Ambipom after a few seconds. The Pinchers stood there, all stunned.

"I thought this would work..." One said. He was the one who came with the plan. "I think we did something not that bright..." The girl said. "Please forgive us, my leader!" She ran away with the boy at her heels. Alex  frowned, then she noticed Blue Eyes when she said: "Hey Alex, let's pretend this just didn't happen... ok?"

Without knowing what she had said, Alex nodded and walked on. On their way to the top of the Ruins, Alex and Blue Eyes got encountered several times by the Pinchers. They still tried to get Blue Eyes back by force, causing a lot of captures.

The puzzles in the ruins didn't make it easier. And after a while, the last chamber came into sight, with Spirit waiting proudly. VoiceNav warned if Alex was ready before she went outside. Alex listened to VoiceNav and walked outside with Blue Eyes. No one to be seen. Blue Eyes looked around, but then she burst out.  

"What?!" she yelled, "Red Eyes isn't even here!" She was furious. "Ok, calm down..." Alex said. "Maybe he's just a little late, or-" "I don't ca-" Blue Eyes interrupted, but then her eyes fell on some kind of monument. It looked like Raikou's in Rasp Cavern. "What...?" She said stunned. "There's a Monument here, in a place like this?"

She walked over to the Monument and investigated it. Alex was worried. 'Will they come...' A sudden a harsh roar scared her. One of the greatest Pokemon smashed a big boulder. It was the Legendary Pokemon Entei. Blue Eyes gasped for air when she saw Entei, and Alex couldn't believe her eyes.

Entei, the Jotho Legendary. While her journey of Pokemon Training, she got informed with the Legend by Morty, the Gym Leader of Ecruteak City, and the people living there. Ten, she was back then.

"Entei!" Blue Eyes yelled while she brought Alex back to reality. "Entei!! You scared me to death! You have no manners, have you?!" Entei turned it's head to Blue Eyes and set a few steps in her direction. "Sush..." Alex whispered to Blue Eyes, "If you don't want to make a Pokemon mad, it's this one..." But it was too late, Entei was already mad. It set more steps to Blue Eyes, growling. Alex hesitatingly set one step towards Entei. It turned and growled once more.

"Please, Entei..."Alex whispered. "I don't want to hurt you..." She knew perfectly fine that talking softly to a Pokemon didn't help capture it. needed to capture it to calm it down. Entei let out another giant roar. Alex crouched a little. It may be a Pokemon, and she's a Pokemon Ranger, but this still was a Legendary Pokemon. And a strong one too.

She had no other choice than to yell: "Capture On!" Alex released Capture Disc out of her Styler, and drew a few loops. Entei tried to attack them, and Alex dodged. She drew more lines. She didn't expect it would, but Entei didn't let Alex capture it so easily. It attacked continuously by shooting fireballs. Her energy dropped, she needed a few assists, but after that, she saw the final bright light. A Sign appeared, just like when she captured Raikou. But this Sign was a little different. Alex recorded it in her Styler, and then she looked at Entei. It looked back for a few seconds, and fled the scene.

Blue Eyes still stood by the Monument. "A-Alex..." she said, kind of astonished. "Y-You saved me..." "No problem..." Alex replied. "W-Why...?" "It's my job." Alex looked at Blue Eyes, and at that same moment, Red Eyes came on his Z.Z. Flyer, together with two Pincher Grunts.

"Well well..." He grinned, "So we meet again, Alex." "Where's Ben?" She asked, not responding to Red Eyes' comments. Ignoring would be a better decision than to react. "He caused me a lot of trouble..." Red Eyes said. "But he's right here!" And he threw Ben off his Z.Z. Flyer.

"Ben!" Alex ran to Ben to untie his ropes. She didn't care about what the others thought of her sudden reaction. All she wanted at this moment was Ben. He struggled, and with Alex's help he got loose. Ben hugged her, totally unexpected, and Alex hugged him back. Blue Eyes stared at the Rangers for a while.

"Blue Eyes, are you coming?" Red Eyes asked. "Y-Yes." She said. Her cheeks glowed a little. At that moment she looked everywhere but to Red Eyes. "Are you alright?" He asked concerned. "You seem a little rosy, did you catch a fever?" "N-No..." Blue Eyes replied quietly. "Well... Come then. We need to-"

"Would you care if I get hurt?"

Blue Eyes said it before she knew it. Red Eyes looked at her for a few seconds, and then got a little blush on his face. "Um... I..." He said nothing for a few moments. Red Eyes always had trouble when he needed to talk about his feelings. "Never mind." Blue Eyes said with a slight trembling voice. She walked away a few steps. "B-Blue Eyes!" He yelled after her. He got of of his Z.Z. Flyer. "Wait!" Blue Eyes stopped, but didn't turn back around.

"Do you care, or not...?" She said quietly. She normally didn't cry to fast, but now she couldn't help shed a tear. Blue Eyes started to prepare her sky blue Z.Z. Flyer. In the background you could hear the zooming of the Z.Z. Flyers from the Pincher Grunts who were leaving. "Blue Eyes..." Red Eyes walked over to her and grabbed her by the shoulders. "I... I... love you." He looked relieved that he finally said it. Blue Eyes turned around.

"Really...?"

"Really." He said before he kissed her. This apparently was unexpected to Blue Eyes. But after three seconds she relaxed and kissed him back. "Come." She said while grabbing Red Eyes by his hand, pulling him away. "Where-" "Shh..." Blue Eyes pointed to Alex and Ben, still hugging. She stepped on her Z.Z. Flyer and flew away. Awaiting Red Eyes in the air, they both left, leaving Alex and Ben alone. Alex was still holding Ben, she didn't even consider letting him go for a second. But when Ben managed to pull her away a bit, he noticed she was crying. It looked like she'd been holding her tears for when Blue Eyes and Red Eyes had left.

"H-Hey..." He whispered. "What's wrong?" "What's wrong...?" Alex repeated while getting a tighter grip on his vest. "What's wrong?! What do you think is wrong? I've been worried sick about you! And now your finally holding me in your arms, and all you can say is 'What's wrong'?!" Alex cried. "I thought they'd killed you, Ben..." She added quietly.

Ben let a tear of his own drop. He was more worried than he's ever been in his whole life. He kissed her forehead. "I was really worried about you too..." He said. "And you're the most I've ever cared about." He admitted. Alex's grip loosened when she heard that. "I love you Alex." Ben whispered before he gently pressed a kiss on her lips. And the Rangers lied like that for a while, cuddling and comforting each other.

After an hour, they left together, holding each others hands.
